Joel Simon

Joel Simon nació en Bélgica y es el fundador de Flickerpix Ltd., un estudio de animación stop-motion de Belfast que produce series de televisión, cortometrajes y anuncios. Joel ha dirigido varias películas de animación entre las que se encuentran Second Helpings (1999) y Ciderpunks (1997), y ha producido The Groom Room para la cadena norirlandesa UTV (Premio Gold, Premios PANI, 2002).(via)

"The Big Match", directed by Joel Simon, depicts a man's recollection of a special day in his childhood.The interviewed man describes events which took place in the eighties in Dublin, Ireland.The film uses animated archive video footage and photographs to bring this personal story to life.Music was written and performed by the Brian Irvine Ensemble.Animation is in Adobe After Effects, Softimage and Toon Boom.
